The Village of Lindenhurst is situated in the heart of Suffolk County, on the southern shore of Long Island. Although Lindenhurst was initially settled in 1873, this community continues to place great focus on the future. To this day, the area acts as home to a thriving arts scene, and is constantly producing all sorts of homegrown talent.
In that past, Lindenhurst has acted as home to comedian Joy Behar, who was once a teacher at Lindenhurst High School. Rocker Pat Benatar and director Hal Hartley also grew up in Lindenhurst. Even Dan Lauria, head of the Arnold household on The Wonder Years, once resided in Lindenhurst.
